I’m a Senior Product Designer based in Vancouver, BC.

Hi. I’m Vira. My friends call me V$

Originally from Ukraine, I studied Interactive Media Design and jumped right into the world of product design. For the past 5+ years, I’ve been building software with intention, care, and a love for the craft.

Most recently, I’ve spent nearly four years at Klue, a fast-paced startup in Vancouver. With an incredible team and complex challenges, the time flew and I grew into a Senior Product Designer role, and now I’m ready for my next adventure.

I enjoy building thoughtful experiences and sweating the small stuff. Give me the meticulous, brain-twisting, detail-obsessed task any day. It fuels me. But what really makes it meaningful is the people. I’ve had the joy of working with some of the smartest, kindest humans (who also happen to be great friends). That sweet spot is where the magic happens for me.

Excellence lives in the details. You just have to give a damn.

Outside of screen time, you’ll find me hiking and going on adventures. I can tell you all about my recent trip to Faroe Islands!

I also enjoy my Vancouver city life by going to farmers markets, biking to the beach, attending music concerts, and hunting down new matcha spots 🍵

Work Experience.

Klue, Senior Product Designer, Win-Loss Team
Jan 2025 - Present, Vancouver, BC

After the successful launch of the Insights module, I joined the newly formed Win-Loss team. The product had been in development for about a year, and my role was to elevate the existing MVP and support its evolution by polishing the experience, contributing to vision work, and adding some of that "V$ sparkle".

As the design lead, I loved challenging assumptions, pushing for cohesion across the experience, and helping shape the long-term vision of the product.

Klue, Product Designer, Insights Team
Nov 2022 - Jan 2025, Vancouver, BC

As I progressed at Klue, I transitioned to the Insights team to help shape the future of the product. I led the design of Klue’s Insights module, enabling users to quickly distill trends from win-loss interviews, call transcripts, and reviews, cutting time-to-insight by 50%. A highlight of this work was collaborating with our ML team in Amsterdam (timezone differences aside 😅).

I also contributed to Klue’s broader design vision of an AI-first platform, focusing on how insights are captured, contextualized, and activated across the product.

Klue, UI Designer, Consumer Team (aka ExciteBike)
Oct 2021 - Nov 2022, Vancouver, BC

Since joining Klue in late 2021, I shifted my interest and efforts more into UI focused role. I enhanced our design system by building missing components and maintaining existing ones, which significantly improved design velocity and streamlined production handoff. It was a great opportunity to nerd out on the details and really sweat the craft.

SoftServe, UI Designer
Apr - Aug 2021, Vancouver, BC

SoftServe is a Vancouver-based EdTech startup.

Here I got a true taste of startup life. I wore many hats: conducting user research, designing final UIs, and even presenting to customers. This role was pivotal in my growth, giving me ownership and a deep understanding of the entire product development cycle.

Courses &
Conferences.

Figma Config
May 2025, San Francisco, CA

As a Figma nerd, I was thrilled to attend Config in San Francisco. The energy was incredible. The Moscone Center packed with product designers, developers, and design leaders from around the world.

I got a firsthand look at Figma’s latest launches and product improvements, including Figma Make (my fav), and soaked up insights on topics like design systems, collaboration at scale, and AI in design. A surprise highlight was a talk by Jeremy Hindle, the production designer behind Severance. He gave a look into the intersection of set design, storytelling, and visual systems.

Beyond the talks, it was a great chance to connect with the community, swap ideas, and come home buzzing with inspiration.

BrainStation Talk
Mar 2024, Vancouver, BC

Invited as a panelist to share my experience in product design alongside experts from Asana and Aritzia. Spoke about career growth, cross-functional collaboration, and practical advice for those looking to break into the tech industry.

Scaling Design Systems
Nov 2023

As my interest in design systems grew, I decided to level up in my skills and take this course led by our well-known design systems friend Dan Mall. The course covered everything from bridging design-to-development gaps to improving process and team workflows. I was able to apply what I learned directly to my work, strengthening both our system foundations and cross-functional collaboration.

Awwwards
May 2023, Toronto, ON

Attended the in-person Awwwards Conference and gained inspiration from world-class designers and agencies, including Locomotive, Dept, Femke and many more. Talks covered emerging design trends, creative processes, and innovative digital experiences, with designers and developers sharing their craft from around the globe.

Also participated in a hands-on 2-day workshop led by Vitaly Friedman (Smashing Magazine), focused on designing complex UIs with clarity, flexibility, and user-centered thinking.
